CATS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION:

AHAB

MALE
DOMESTIC SHORT-HAIR
BIRTH YEAR: 20
20

Ahab came to us with Salem from Kamloops around 6 months, he is very nervous around

people as well. Ahab has been here for almost a year and has come far in trusting people, but is still not fully comfortable around us. This handsome guy is missing his back right foot, but despite that gets around quick and without issue. He will require some low to the ground scratchers and toys to optimize activity and fun. This beautiful boy will need a quiet home with a cat savvy, patient person willing to go at his pace and work with him. (He will do almost anything for Temptation treats!) Ahab will need a home without dogs or children. This handsome guy is very close friends with Salem, whom he arrived with and they will need to be adopted together. If you would like to meet these two email us at info@carescatshelter.com

SALEM

FEMALE
DOMESTIC SHORT-HAIR
BIRTH YEAR: 2020

This sleek panther came to us from a rescue in Kamloops at around 6 months

of age. She is very nervous around people and tends to prefer just watching rather than interacting here. Salem has been here for almost a year and has come far in trusting people, but is still not fully comfortable around us. Salem would need a quiet home with a cat savvy, patient person willing to go at her pace and work with her. (She will do almost anything for Temptation treats!) Salem will need a home without dogs or children. Salem is very close friends with Ahab here whom she arrived with and will need to be adopted with him. VALI

FEMALE
DOMESTIC SHORT-HAIR
BIRTH YEAR: 2017

Vali is a beautiful girl that enjoys human company but is still getting used to being

so close with people. Vali enjoys brief pets and is becoming more relaxed with the attention as she receives. While this beautiful girl may not be a lap cat, she could be an amazing companion. Vali is very talkative once she is comfortable with you and will do anything for her favorite Temptation treats. Vali’s thick winter undercoat has come in and needs some daily brushing… while we are brushing her daily she lets us know she does not enjoy it. We are hopeful once she has found her person it will help increase her willingness to be groomed. This girl loves to be perched up at the highest part of the cat tree as she enjoys being at eye level when she says hello. We feel Vali would do best as an only animal, in an adult environment. If you want to meet this beautiful girl please email us at info@carescatshelter.com

LOKI

MALE
DOMESTIC SHORT-HAIR
BIRTH YEAR: 2017

Loki was brought to C.A.R.E.S. after his family could no longer keep him. This

little man is the sweetest, extremely gentle chatterbox! This beautiful peach colored boy is an absolute joy to be around. Though he’s not exactly a lap cat, he is very, very cuddly. He’s quite curious and likes to follow along beside you to see what you’re up to. Loki loves to talk. He’ll chat back and forth with you! Loki is diabetic and requires insulin twice daily; he is so complacent he doesn’t mind his injections at all. Loki needs to eat prior to receiving insulin morning and evening, so he requires a structured daily routine. Because of these circumstances we are open to a foster home for our special boy. (Local to Langley) Loki is ok with some friendly cats and seems friendly with kids, but it is recommended that he doesn’t go to a home with any dogs. Our sweet Loki really deserves to have a home life again. If you think you could be Loki’s second chance, please contact us info@carescatshelter.com

ALI

FEMALE
DOMESTIC SHORT-HAIR
BIRTH YEAR: 2008

Ali has had a tough life. Although we do not know her history before C.A.R.E.S. it

appears she has had some unpleasant experiences. Ali was in one of our foster homes doing well for the last three years, but recently returned to the shelter due to family changes. Ali hates other cats and becomes extremely agitated when they are around. The shelter environment has been very stressful for her. Ali needs a quiet home where she can reside as more of a roommate. When around other animals or stressed out this girl has quite the bark. The bite however seems nonexistent…there have been no incidents other than her extreme vocals. Ali does calm down after some time and will relax and show her loving, affectionate side where she rubs all over you and wants pets and enjoys brushing…however these moments can be brief and end quickly without warnings before starting again! Ali does enjoy having a companion and longs for that life again. We are open to a foster if the right situation comes along. (Fosters local to Langley) If you want to meet this feisty queen email us at info@carecatshelter.com

KITKAT

FEMALE
DOMESTIC SHORT-HAIR
BIRTH YEAR: 2009

This beautiful girl was brought to the shelter because she wasn’t getting along

with the other animals in the home. Sweet KitKat has been very sad since arriving here and is ready for her next chapter to start. Though she isn’t really a lap cat, she is very cuddly, and will follow you everywhere you go. KitKat has a fun loving personality and huge love for people. She will make a wonderful companion to the lucky person that finds her. She is young at heart, enjoys playing and is great for chatting with…this girl has some stories to tell! KitKat needs a quiet adult oriented home.  She doesn’t seem to mind other cats too much but she is not too keen on dogs. If you are looking for a loving emerald eyed companion, she is right here waiting for you! Contact us at info@carescatshelter.com

CLAIRE

FEMALE
DOMESTIC SHORT-HAIR
BIRTH YEAR: 2006

We do not know a lot about Claire’s past as she came to us 5 years ago from another

shelter. They had found her injured and provided her with some medical care.  It appeared she had been living on her own for quite a while fending for herself. Here is some of what we do know about the lovely Claire… she has a lot of energy despite her age, she enjoys pets and love on her terms and can be quite chatty. Claire can get agitated here at the shelter as she does not enjoy the company of other cats.  Claire has been living in the shelter for almost 4 years and has not had the opportunity to bond with a person in a home environment so it may take some time for her to adjust to the home life she deserves. Claire would need a cat savvy person, with a quiet home without other pets or children. If you like to meet her contact us at info@carescatshelter.com

TIGGA

FEMALE
DOMESTIC LONG-HAIR
BIRTH YEAR: 2015

This beautiful girl came to us after her owner was no longer able to care for her.

Tigga is a very quiet little girl, she prefers to watch from a distance vs being involved. She enjoys rubbing on your ankles, treats and being talked to but doesn’t enjoy being touched very much. This gorgeous little girl gets a bit twitchy when upset or frustrated. She will lift her little foot to kind of swat at you and it will sort of twitch forward and back. We have had her to our veterinarian and believe this to just be something neurological, as she is in great health otherwise. This makes Tigga our special needs girl. Tigga would be sort of like a teenager in the home, she would like you to provide her meals, and clean up after her and in return she will grace you with her presence every now again, and occasionally she could even be a little snotty!! If you are interested in a cute little fluffy teenager with some special needs Tiggy Puddin is here waiting to meet you! info@carescatshelter.com

Well the truth about Cassie is she wants nothing to do with anyone here. She doesn’t

seem to have any requirements from humans other than us providing her basic care. Cassie is a long term resident at C.A.R.E.S. and has been here for almost 3 years. This beautiful girl keeps her distance and seems completely content in doing so. She does not want to be petted or coddled. Cassie is independent and looking for a caretaker/roommate. This girl has gorgeous eyes, loves catnip, treats and appreciates if you talk to her and tell her how pretty she is, without touching of course!
