Riff can be social and affectionate, happily visiting and interacting, but he can become overstimulated and can sometimes bite (mostly legs) without much warning. He can be a bit unpredictable, but has calmed quite a bit since arriving, Despite this, Riff is still very young and we truly believe the right person can help him build trust and feel safe. He seems to prefer men and is noticeably more relaxed and less reactive with them. He is currently on a daily herbal supplement to help with calming, and we are already seeing some positive changes. Riff would love to leave the shelter environment and have a chance at a calmer, more predictable home where he can continue to grow and feel secure. He deserves that chance at happiness. give. After being surrendered, we noticed she was having difficulty walking. It appears she has some nerve damage, though the cause is unknown. We have had her for scans and tests and can’t determine the source.
Since being in our care, Snippers has made wonderful progress. With support, her mobility has improved greatly and she’s now getting around quite well, something we’re so happy to see! Snippers does still need a bit of extra care. She requires baths (and enjoys them!) and benefits from pee pads, as using the litter box can still be a challenge for her. Despite this, she remains incredibly sweet and is longing for a home and a person to bond with again. her spirit. Found in South Langley alongside her mama, Forest was trapped safely after kind residents noticed she was injured. What first appeared to be a small wound was sadly much more serious, and her damaged leg had to be amputated to save her life.

born outdoors and came into care together at around six months old. Now just over a year old, they’re ready to take the next step toward a loving home.
Harper is very food-motivated and, with the help of treats (especially Churus), has become a sweet and affectionate little guy. He can still be a bit nervous with sudden movements or loud sounds, but he’s learning to trust more each day and would thrive in a home where he can bond closely with his person.
Justice is also highly food motivated and will do just about anything for treats! He has a bit of a grumpy expression and isn’t shy about giving you the occasional hiss. He prefers to observe from a safe space and come out when things are calm and quiet, he will retreat for a bit when moved into his home, but after some time he will start to come out. With patience and consistency, we believe he will continue to come out of his shell, though he will need more time to adjust than Harper.

Prince Rupert after spending much of their lives outdoors. Unsure of people and new surroundings, they are still learning that the world can be safe and kind.
